In celebrating independence day, Green Heroes Foundation (GHF) was graced with the presence of the Abuja Social Hangout (ASH) -(a social group comprising of youths aimed at using socialization as a tool to develop themselves and the society around them) who chose to celebrate independence day honouring and appreciating our countries war veterans with so many gifts from food stuffs to toiletries and clothings as well as an undisclosed package as handed to GHF in the photos below which was greatly appreciated by over (20) twenty war veterans and GHF founders- their joy could not be contained...their elation is demonstrated in the video below.
The partners of the Green Heroes Foundation spoke passionately on their pleasure in serving to ensure the growth of the foundation and all concerned as great plans are being made for skill acquisitions to provide a means of livelihood for these young men and women to properly reintegrate into the society smoothly.
Air comdr. Abayomi Balogun narrated a sad story of one of the war veterans who was mistaken for dead and on returning back these soldiers are sent away from war fronts and their families discharged from the barracks with no place to live and no means of livelihood... Such individuals need to be warded off from criminality going through psychological therapy to rid off PTSD as well as providing job opportunities for them, of which GHF is solely founded on. He thanked these well meaning youths from ASH for using their time, money and resources for such a great course.. Such an act is indeed worth emulating as these gifts will go a long way to the benefit of war veterans and the society at large.
With joy in the air other partners of GHF gave the war veterans cash prizes individually and wholly issuing an uproar of dancing and pushups from war veterans which was indeed a joyous sight.
